I will write about this fantastic baby blanket today.
Crochet is my first love. When I first realized that I should be crafting, crochet took the first place. The idea was to crochet some flowers for my curtains. But all I knew about crochet was to make a chain. I googled the basic stitches, watched videos on YouTube and followed great tutorials made by wonderful bloggers. It was funny to follow the videos while crocheting.
Unfortunately, my obsession on excellence did not let me to like any flower patterns but I had a huge flower patterns archive. I finally managed to like a butterfly pattern which was made by Marie. She has a great tutorial with very clear pictures. Below is a picture of my own. They look pretty on the curtains.
I had a niece about 7 months ago. I thought something handmade would be meaningful for her when she grows up. So I crocheted her a blanket. This was my first big crochet project. When it finished, I decided that big crochet projects are not for me. It was so boring to crochet the same thing too many times. But it did worth.
You will realize from the pictures that the pattern is a little fluffy. It looks pretty on the newborn princesses. I have took the pattern from Milli Makes... She has a clear and thorough tutorial. Here are the pictures after all pieces combined.
My niece have grown up so fast though that she will probably be unable to fir to the blanket in the next fall or winter. Yet, she will have her first crochet blanket with her for the rest of her life.
Hope you like it as much as I do.
Love,
